In the early 90s, a video was made on the New River Gorge. The highlight of the video was Dan Osman's epic free solo of The Gun Club (12c). I'm trying to track down this footage for a relative of Dan Osman's. I haven't seen it in years, and my buddies don't have their copies anymore. If anyone has a copy of this footage, and doesn't mind sharing, I would appreciate getting my hands on it. I'm sure there is a way to digitize the video. Also, does anyone know who made that video, or who owns the copyright? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Steve Cater made the film, it was called New River Gorge: A Climbing Expose ,you can buy it directly from him, as a package deal with his other film The South's Steepest.
Available here via paypal:

Scroll down a bit, it's below the four guidebooks.
Don't pirate the video.

Can you rent the classic climbing movies on the internet anywhere? Would love to show my son some of the movies I watched when I started climbing in the early 90's. I really can't afford to pay $30 per movie but would gladly pay $5 to rent. I feel that way about regular movies as well but I will only pay $1-2 for hollywood movies. I have had netflicks and they have some movies that feature climbing but not really the climbing specific movies I have been looking for. You would think this would help out the film makers but the connection has not seemed to happen. The only video store left in my local area does not carry any either.
