You mean steve and mrs. pendulums? THEY are telling the story? I think they have repeatedly told their story already and no one wanted to listen. Maybe get a different perspective if you want to sell any of these movies.

So it took "two of the world's best and boldest climbers" "13 consecutive days" equipped with the best modern gear available 13 consecutive days to do the second ascent?
I can't wait to see the film, but it sure sounds like it wasn't a bolt ladder!

I just read the FAQ. It states that WOS is "the hardest route on El Capitan." Not "a hard route." Not "one of the hardest routes. It says "THE HARDEST ROUTE."
I assume this is coming from Ammon. He knows his sh#t. Hasn't he climbed more El Cap routes than anyone else, living or dead.
I can't wait for the film!

Werner, everything I quoted was taken verbatim from the film promo site. EVERYTHING!
All the jazz about "WOS being the hardest route on El Capitan", it being climbed by "two of the world's best and boldest climbers" and it taking "13 consecutive days"-- that's all directly form Ammon and Kait's promo site. If it's in quotes, they said it.
Maybe they're trying to "stir up sh'i" but that's what they said.
You calling them liars, Werner? Are they telling you stuff on the side that is different from what they are saying publicly in an effort to get sponsors and investors?
Werner, I respect you but at this point I'm going to believe what Ammon and Kait are posted publicly in print on their film promo web site over any gossip you may have heard. And I'm going to watch their film when it comes out. If this makes me an idiot, then I'm an idiot.

hey i have been out of the loop for awhile, and was unsure of who kait was so i looked her up briefly. how accurate is it that she is one of the best and boldest big wall climbers when she just climbed her first big wall last year?
there is no doubt that aamon is bad ass and a great human being to boot, and that climbing with him probably steepens the learning curve, but to make someone one of the best wall climbers in a year seems hard to fathom.

Is this real? A movie about the SA of WOS? So say take all of us on the Taco who care ( I am one of them ) and all of the non taco climbers out there and family and friends and a few non climber strays and what do you get? About a couple of hundred people. We may be suffering delusions of grandeur here I think. Should this actually get made you can count me in as a buyer though :)

Thats the problem with assumptions. You have no idea if it is from Ammon or not. Probably more likely to be more spray and hype by the film promoter looking for sponsors. But that is just my speculation.
