I'm leaving for a road trip from Boston to the Valley and I'm looking for a 60-70m rope and what are some suggestions for a reasonable good price & quality.

BTW i want to spend a day in the Gunks. Anybody going to be there on Wednesday 8/17/11 ?

Athena, PM me about the Gunks on 8/17. Never climbed there before but will be in the area and would be stoked to climb.

Pretty much all climbing ropes are good, as far as I can tell.
Often if you buy in December, you can get a 60m for around $100.

Here's a 9.8 x 60m for $140 with free shipping:

I"m partial to PMI ropes.

Price of rope = cheap life insurance. I"m not made of money either but I'm in!

I am looking for a climbing partner in the 'Gunks as well on Wed.
Local, happily married guy, not trying to hook up. I really enjoy showing any visiting climber the quality and quantity of great climbs here.
Weather looks good for mid-week after this rain passes.
Cheers

Keep us posted Trundle, how the trip is going.

Been in Oklahoma for a while now, haven't had a chance to Take the Hobie out. Did you get any sailing while you were Marblehead??
