I know I should probably just go up and do it.....but I'll ask anyway. I was thinking about astroman for this weekend, which would be about a week after the recent snow. Anyone have a good idea which parts will be wet? Am I going to regret doing the n. dome gully descent one week after a 1,500' snow level storm in my climbing shoes?

There is still a lot of snow over there as of today. It's melting off but it's still cold. I was at the cookie today and yesterday and there is still snow at the base in various places so that means NDG will be pretty covered back there still.
This weekend they said might storm here?
Who knows how it'll be, sometimes you just have to go for it to see.

The slot will likely be very wet, and the last pitch, too. When the last pitch is really wet, it's kind of dicey.

Thanks for the low down.
The slot could be interesting when wet. Hey, maybe the extra lube would make it easier to squeeze through....or maybe not. I kinda like the security of not being able to move in that maw when it's dry.

If you are swinging leads, count the pitches and set it up so your partner gets the last pitch, in case it's wet. Let's see, that probably means you'll get the slot...

The last pitch can be aided. You won't need a hammer or anything aid specific, unless the heads are gone. And they looked pretty good 6 months ago. Methinks the slot will be your biggest worry...and the descent.
