I just saw this story on Yahoo. I'm not sure what I would do in his place but I've always thought prison would be about the last place I would like to end up. The marines (short time I was in as a reservist)was confining enough for me.

I almost posted this a day or two ago, but I reached my OT quota. Need more trip reports!

This is funny/clever/sad though.

So is long term pain. So is not knowing how your are going to pay your bills. So is ending up on the street.

That is.. if you really want to talk about confining.

Awe shucks.. just pull yourself up by your bootstraps.

labrat the health care that is afforded to people in prison, jail and any federal institution far and away exceeds what you and I will ever get.

What is this based on exactly?

To some folks, jail or prison would be pretty swanky compared to the regular digs. (old cardboard box on the sidewalk) They offer 3 square meals a day, dry place to sleep, free clothes, showers, and some form of health care.

I'm sure no one reading this forum would opt for it.

However, there may be more than one reader who has lived the homeless life of a dirtbagger and could sympathize.

After reading the article it seems like the guy's plan is totally reasonable.

With problem solving skills like that, it's a wonder that this guy doesn't have a wall street job, oh wait those f*#kers never go to jail.
