Some of you might enjoy this retrospective climbing blog. Norwegian twins Kjetil and Marius blog about their climbing life with mentor Marius Olsen aka The Ols. The Ols is internationally known as first ascensionist of monster ice routes in Norway, Patagonia and beyond. Olsen is also Coling Haley’s trainer in cross country skiing and the guy who learned Bjorn Eiving Aartun how to grip an ice axe.

google did a decent job of translating.

too bad they couldn't do the captions in the cartoons.

Where are Bjorn Myerlund and Kirsti Nordhaug? How are they doing?

Maybe too old school for the Norwegians that have posted to this thread?

Whoa, that's good news! I hope....
I heard Bjorn (I forgot how to make that little line through the O) eventually summited Everest. He and I thrashed on Seperate Reality together.

I had a great summer with the Norwegians in Yosemite in the summer of 1980. They were good climbers and great fun too.

Re Wade: Nærøyfjorden / Naroyfjorden around Gudvangen has good kayaking in Norways longest fjord.
Most of Norway from Stavanger and up has nice fjords for kayaking.
I guess for a combo of climbing and kayaking nothing beats the Lofoten Islands.
