A friend is looking for some old climbing footage, preferably something in a big mountain environment the more harrowing the better! I've shown him some El Cap footage my brother sent me but he said it looked like the guys were having too much fun (how terrible eh?). Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?
Cheers,
Andrew

How vintage do you want? Go way back with the Mountaineers Library in Seattle, they just put some awesome short clips/previews of their collection online: http://www.mountaineers.org/history/cat/movies-film.html Mostly from the 1920s-60s so the "harrowing" nature of climbing may be a bit different.

60s/70s I guess - so not super vintage in hindsight! Any colour 8mm/super 8 is great. That link you posted is ideal/fantastic. I'm on the other side of the pond so to speak so I'm unable to get the full films but it's a great start. Thanks!

Also, LOL at the quote taken out of context, sounds a bit wrong.
