Any SuperTopoans gonna be up at Tollhouse tomorrow?Me and Macronut are heading up early tomorrow am. We'll be on the rock by sun up. Have to be home by 9:00am. We're doing The Turret Center to Half A Snake. ( i spent a few hours on rappel a while back cleaning mud and gunk out of the three pitches of nice cracks to spiff up thiskinda lost jewel. I hope it gets more traffic in the coming months. Lemme know what you think if you get on it.

I'd love to, but my wife had her knee scoped this morning, and the local anesthetic is finally wearing off, so I need to stay close to home. This is actaully a good thing. She broke her leg just below the knee about a year and a half ago while cycling with me, but complications prevented surgery until now. She's been forced to hobble along, which limited what she could do in the mountains. We hope she's now on her way to her former, active life.

It looks like it should be perfect Tollhouse weather, and I hope you have a great time. I second the request for pictures, though. I've never done anything on The Snake, and it looks like a fun area.

This weekend I headed down to the TollCasa and climbed with one of Gene's friends. We saw micronut & co. as we were hiking in around 9am and waved. Gene's main group came by later on.

Got in four pitches on the practice slab aka Hippo Wall -

Mandatory Elephant Walk shot -

We were thinking of doing the Tollhouse Traverse (5.5), but the route was popular. We did the first three pitches of Falling Star (5.8) instead.

I wasn't really sure where the last pitch of Falling Star went, so we did the mantel finish of the Traverse (the slab finish was occupied anyway) -

Today we went a did a bunch of routes at Squarenail on the Elvis Wall, my first time there -

Something like 16 pitches for the weekend. I had a good time !

Tollhouse picture bump.

Great seeing you Rob! My group had a fine day running laps over on the slabs climber's right of the Hippo slabs. Wore those kids out - they slept the entire drive home.

While climbing with my young friends over at Sunday Slab I noticed a newish bolt on the low angle slab that formerly had a rather long runout. Since I don't have the guide here, I can't cite the name (Directisima??), but it is the route climber's right of the right facing corner at the extreme left of the slabs and the small 5.7 left facing open book that lead to the ledge with bolted anchors about 85 feet up (Center Crack???).

What's up with that?
