I looked for this vid on ST, but couldn't find it. It's a nice look back at some of the Red Rocks stuff, with a mish mosh of JT thrown in. Old school, exploration, adventure, hex's, hip belay, and some pretty cool sounds they put to this.
Melted Gear!
Dropped gear!
Chiloe is mentioned!
Lars Holbek cracking on Mark Moore: A lot of Mark's gear was scary at BEST!

Come on Survival- you know most people here would be more interested in the portrait of an evangelist or of a politician.

Good ol' Lars!
He was one of my mentors... I first met him on a climbing outing that our school (Sonoma State University) put together. We had a couple of van-loads of climbers out at the Bubble on Mt. Saint Helena.
There was a fire road running by the crag and Lars and his buddy Randy come mtountain bike-riding down the road---buck naked! The girls kinda giggled as Lars tied in on a bowline and sent the Bubble, a classic 5.7 route.
Yep, Lars. Climbed the Nose when he was 16. Then went on to become a world-class kayaker, doing many first descents in the Sierra and elsewhere. He and Chuck Stanley wrote the book on California river running.
Cheers Buddy!

Good post k-man.
you know most people here would be more interested in the portrait of an evangelist or of a politician.
Unfortunately Jim, you are correct.
We love to hate LEB and tell her to get lost. Meanwhile, everytime someone insists on telling her off, they keep her thread on the front page.
Witness the over 130 post ObamaCare thread.....
I still like climbing better. I need to PM you about that show.....

Nice, what a cool video!
Good thing the boys in that era were good at placing hexes.
That dude in Josh looked like he was working a rubicks cube to unlock the pro!
At least he had the swami.
