I got one this fall and have been using it all winter.

I like almost everything about it. It is definitely hydrophobic and sheds water.
The complaint about the buckle being hard to manipulate seems overblown to me. I like that it does not creep at all.
The only thing I don't like is the ice clipper between the gear loops is a bit crowded. A minor issue though.

Of course like any product I start to like, they are discontinuing it.

I just ordered one for $100. Also shopping for ice screws. This feels like when I started climbing in 1986. When should I visit Cody? :)

not having any problems with the buckles. this is a great harness.

any idea what the two little loops on the rights side are for? I can't imagine it's for another gear loop as this thing already has tons especially if you add all the screw biners possible (6)

Mine has two small loops for tucking your tail into on the left side.
Do you have the harness upside down?

(Noob fun fact: "Screw biners" are more commonly called "ice clippers")

OMG... what do you think I am?!?! A Noob? :-)

Noob makes note that it's "Ice Clippers".

ah yes... for tucking the tail. My swami doesn't have those so there's that. But I like the idea of the mini wood stove.

If you've got a Xenos, look it over. I was racking up a few days ago when I noticed that the stitching on both of the forward ice-clipper attachments was ripped.

No complaints about BD customer service, however. i just called to report the issue; they told me to submit a claim online and that they would replace the harness.
