I always love the photo threads on here so its my turn to keep the magic alive.

This summer I was empolyed to work in West Greenland from the Ilulissat area extending North to the mevil bugt.

lots of cool ice bergs and geology.

The famous Ilulissat Icefjord.

Ilulissat and some Ice Bergs (the big one we flew over and the pilot clocked it at 300 m!)

Dogs are everywhere.

out team and out taxi who for the first 2 weeks flew us to and from the research area every day.

Base camp before the wind hit us

One of a great many slinging operations and our other Helicopter (we had two)

The inland ice

Drilling for Rare Earths

Doors off flight for an ariel survey - D700 as my 50 cal but no Wagner!

Part of the deposit and a diabase dyke

One of a great many BIG ice bergs

The CEO of the company while we were looking for Zn which just so happened to be half way up an 800 m cliff made of chossy marble

Guy on the daily commute home to our fly camp.

Out fly camp away from the crowds for a few days

An indicator of good things to come (very small green mineral in the red dunite inside the red square in crayon)

Later stage base camp from the air

Sampling - forget silly yellow hammers, saws and dynamite.

we could have flown a helicopter into that berg. It was truly massive.

I doubt your boat would have done much but sods law states that you get wiped out by a killer tidal wave just after exiting.
