This flick is hilarious!

A spoof on the 'blaxploitation' films of the 70's. Released in 2009.

Purposefully made to fit the genre with stiff acting and editing quirks, I had to watch it twice to catch some funny stuff...

I used to love "blaxploitation" films, and got turned onto them by a black roommate I had in college. There was some fine black "trim" (blame Eddie Murphy for the term) in those flics, and great music.

But the all time great one was surely the incomparable "Superfly," staring Shakespearian actor Ron O'Neil, with tunes by Brother Curtis Mayfield. The ethos of that flick factored heavily into The Stonemasters.

Yo!

That film was righteous...... remember seeing it in Reno back in the 70's. Probably was a double feature with a Bruce Lee film at Century theaters....Good stuff.
