I spent the whole day in the meadow with my folks, playing scrabble and getting psyched for my next trip up the stone. Since Tom is out of town, I figured that I would tell y'all what is going on up there:

Zodiac: The soloist who has been up there the past few days pulled the final pitches in the morning and finished up in great style.

Mescalito: Tommy and Kevin were hard at work figuring out The Molar traverse. They were whipping hard and working the moves for much of the day before going down in the evening.

The Nose: Ned and Brian, team YI, kicked some major ass today going from El Cap tower up to camp 5. They will be off before the weather hits! Brian will be celebrating his first big wall! Way to go Lads!!

Here is a picture of them taken through a pair of binoculars:

Freeblast: 1 party went up it today, and seemed to be having a blast.

Well, Im back to the office. A storm is coming in on Tuesday and it is good to see some people taking advantage of the weather window.

Writing an El-Cap report is a blast...I see why you do it, Tom

cheers,
Roger

Those WERE people at the great roof. Couldn't tell for certain without my glasses. Definitely a perfect day for climbing.

The boys topped out today around 5 p.m. with loads of tourons watching through binoculars in the meadow. Beat the storm!

Pretty snowy out there. Clear again in a few days but wouldn't want to be on the Captain at the moment~!
