Double check that video. That one photo sure looks a lot like Yosemite Falls, yet very slightly different. I dunno, photo chop?

I looked at them in another site. The images are very identical to British Colombia but no, they were all from Kashmir

Kashmir isn't exactly the safest place to go to at this time though.

I was in Srinigar, Gulmarg, and Sonamarg in September and absolutely loved it. Dal Lake is stupendous and the jeep ride over to Leh is incredible. Would love to go and climb. The airport is probably the most heavily fortified/strong military presence places I can imagine, but my wife and I felt totally safe everywhere we went. Plus, the Copp/Dash show from a few years back sure makes the Shafat Fortress look rad.

So would unexploded ordinances be an additional objective risk on them peaks?

I'd love to see a list of what peaks are there.

Agree with Marty, and I'd second the snow fun.
Point 'em down from 13,000' to 8,500' yipee!
Kashmir not only is a cool place to go
but the locals sure could use the money.
Very sweet people who have been through
a lot.
Oh, and sh*te loads of climbing...

Cheers,
DD
