Has anyone noticed the smell of piss on some popular bivy ledges?

when you come to a ledge, piss off, not on.

Yeah, thats pretty common now days, so ive been told. I did the prow back in may...My first wall. Damn, you could smell the belays before you ever got to them...My vote is to piss off. Screw that team below you for being dumb enough to follow you up.

as much as i hate to say it, i think for some routes like the nose, it may become necessary to haul your piss from camp 4 to the top in a water bottle. that section of the route is pretty nasty after long periods of dry weather.

(maybe one-day ascents will need to bring an extra camelback for the task)

I suppose it depends on your point of view. Piss off and you might piss on someone, piss on and you might piss off someone!

must watch out for updrafts...they seem to show up right after the relieving begins and heave your foul smelling leakage right back at you, and your partner standing on the ledge behind you....

It makes me wonder why there aren't more fags into wall climbing....with the golden showers and all.

As much as I love beer. It only makes you piss more and it smells more. So if you swill on route maybe you should pack it out?

there are packs that's contents will "gell up" when in contact with human waste...

Not to mention all the asparagus that wall climbers eat...
