hey there all, say, i am back now....
okay, as to this CLIMB... well, one must first understand this:
these photos are "stop action"... she is actually moving at "now you see me, now you don't" type speed! (don't let her meAndering pose on these photos fool you!) :)
patty is a might "goal oriented" when it comes to these climbs---get to the top, as FAST as possible, and "chalk one up as done"... with the doggie-word, "whewwwwwwwwww... glad THAT'S over with"
(must be 'cause she's like me, a hiker and not a true climber, oh my)
now then, this climb,
"stairway to stableness" (being that i forgot what i called it when the ol' cats did it)... was ACTUALLY DONE in 00:01:50 seconds!
*though it can vary...
(i was lucky after four trys, to get her in the picture, and as you can see, i only got the tail-end of her, and then, near immediately after that, she had disappeared into the bedroom!
here:
now then, moving on, as to the CLIMB down, she is a tad more slow, clocking in at about:
00:02:50 (give or take, up or down, depending on her mood)...
and from the view here, you can see why---yep, goal oriented, but keen to the word of CAUTION when the view shifts on said-climb, as to "head first leading" (oh my!)
here:
here is all i got before--man oh man, what a climber!:
(and to THINK i used to have to PUSH her up, a step at a time, and pull her down, said-same-way... what a dog... :)
:)

She is a total gremlin, to be honest. Very dextrous, so she could (a) open the fridge so I have a padlock there, (b) open beer cans and (c) pick pockets. At the same time, she is very social, loves to hang out with me, knows her name (though it does not mean she comes when she hears it). I think the best way to describe her is "gregarious".
Here is another photo, this time on the summit of the bathroom door (5.12 X). I should make a photo of her hanging on my campus board and doing a way better job than myself.

hey there slevin, say, i love the pics, i like the dexterity they have in their hands... :)
but say, i'm with cyndie, in this wonderment... where did you get it?
are they really s o l d???
or were you pleased by a permit, etc?
just curious (does it get vicious like racoons can get, due to certain situations)...
thanks for the neat share...

She was an orphan so the choice was pretty clear and i adopted her. She does have a temper, every once in a while, but I got used to it. To give you a sense of scale, here is her with the dog.

hey there shrug, say that is funny... patty loves the neighbors picnic table, too, for some reason and is constantly climbing up on it...
say, edge:
man oh man, what a climb... whewww...say, my dog is too awkward to do that... and her toe nails are like claws, too... (keep needing help to cut them, and they seem to grow mighty fast--but they cause her slip for sure)...
wow, what a persistant climber that dog is, take care with it though, wow!
really like the cats, too... mine take flying leaps and jumps, more than climbling, now that are grown... when little they climbed a lot more... :)
