This summer, in memory of Brutus, a bunch of us gathered on the East Side to celebrate his life. If you missed that, and the thread about it, you'll have to just trust that it was a moving experience.

On Saturday evening of that weekend we watched the film from Bruce's ascent of The Tempest on El Cap with Tom McMillan and Valerio Folco, and a special tribute that Val put together from extra, previously un-released footage of Bruce. With Val's permission, I've posted the tribute footage on YouTube to share with everyone. It is in two parts. Here are the links, grab a kleenex folks...

Wonderful and moving... thank you for posting. As one who only knew Brutus through his postings (going back to the early wreck.climbing days), this video really fleshed out those magical and funny elements of Bruce... I get him even more now. What a treasure of a human being.

Never met him, but I can tell, he was a very nice guy, and lots of fun to be around. You guys were real lucky to have known him.

Thanks soooooo much for posting this Jerry!! My heart still splits when I see his goofy ass face. I miss him alot and always wonder how our adventure up Castle Rock Spire would have went.
