A mellow late afternoon hike up the gulley...
A solo up P1 of Higher Cathedral Spire regular route... it was late so we only made it up the second pitch (WITH rope) before rapping.
The last autumn evening, looking down at the valley...
A bivy at the base of Braille Book, a night of pitter-patter, a night of hush, and a good amount of slush!
The fires of fall being extinguished in a blanket snow...
A languorous morning, and then beating tracks out of there!
And the falling blobs of snow turn to heavy drops...
And another beautiful day in paradise has just begun.

Sweet!
We had a similar day in late fall at Bear Creek Spire...woke to 4-6" of powder, so we bailed on the rock route and hiked Dade instead. But the Valley looks more like fall...awesome photos!

hey there nutjob... i love the brightness of surprise-trees that seem to light-up as if "pluggen in" and all due to the sun hitting them just right...
we had only a few trees around this area, this year, that did that, and i missed getting to take there pics...
say-thanks for your great autumn share...
wonderful pictures... :)
*our trees are about bear, here... today was overcast and gray all about... :O
the air smelled great, though... :)

Thanks for the photos. I've only escaped the tropics and seen fall once in the past 26 years and I still miss it every year. Your photos show that it is still as beautiful as ever.
