Video TR!

What do you do with three climbers on a 95 degree day in Yosemite? Overhang Bypass! The route stays in the shade until mid afternoon - a great option on a hot day.

It's a decent line on Lower Cathedral Rock. Remember, the approach stays well to the LEFT. Follow the description and it's a mellow approach. Beware that a flake fell off on the pitch above the Hog Tough, the route is now 5.8/5.9, probably depending on height. The crux might be tricky to protect - probably not a good beginner route (kind of like Nut Cracker).

The top out is spectacular - well worth walking up to the top of Lower Cathedral. Beware that the descent down the Gunsight can take a while - bring a headlamp.

This route isn't currently in the Super Taco. It is in the Reid Guide.

(The crazy guy shouting in Indonesian with the flag is on Cat Dancing, North Face Apron of Middle Cathedral - also a great spot on a hot day.)
