Tuolumne Aug 2011: photo report
Thursday August 4, 2011 7:57pm
At the end of July met up with a bunch of friends in Tmds as we do every year. Unlike most years we had rainy days and had to sneak in short climbs, bouldering and some trips down the east side (it was raining there too). You can click on any of the photos for a larger version.

mosquito's were not that bad. The rain seemed to discourage them. Still, used some bug juice in camp and at the base of most climbs.

EDIT - yup the Turrentines. Sasha was doing fine at altitude, Tom is still as strong as an ox. He was particularly proud of these reading glasses with sequins. Had some elaborate story about placing small stoppers anywhere from three inches to three feet from his nose using the glasses. Click on the photo to get a good look at the sequins.

Looks like everybody had a great time Mike! We missed it but made up for it with an awesome week in the backcountry weathering the storms, bugs, and a supposed class 3 climb on Mt Carl Heller.

Kathy,

Yes that is me..something has happened to me over the last 40 years...I lined up photos from when I was 17 to now 57 and I detect a number of trends. I think I'm going to write a scientific paper on the obvious changes.

Yup - nice to shake hands Roy. Still can't believe we did not know one another back in the day. So many common friends.
