Gene, that picture is perfect. There is a little connection too. Back on Sep. 6 2008, the same day when Alex Honnold was soloing Half Dome, I was hiking up to Vogelsang H.S.C. with my little 70 year old mom. All day long I was staring back down the trail and at the face of Half Dome. My mom said that day was the hardest in her life. She sent the entire High Sierra Loop in style. The next day I found out that my wife was pregnant with this little bundle of joy. Alexander "Sasha" Igleheart was born 8 months later on my 40th birthday. Thanks for posting that funny picture.

Gene and Susan,
I see that we share values. Accompanying Didi (grandma) through the High Country of my youth was a great joy in my life. In '96 she and dad visited the TSAR site. All they could see was very dirty, skinny, hungry, scruffy dirt hobos huddled around a campfire. It's funny about values. What I thought was just free spending of time turned out to be an investment of surprising value. Now I can draw on it to give Sasha his turn.
