Trip Report
South Face of South Duke Taku Range AK

Here's a few of the FA of the South Face of the South Summit of South Duke. Pretty straightforward with good quality rock up to 5.9 and some WI3 ice/snow. I flew in with Coastal Helicopters and skied/hiked out.

Sounds like a great trip, got any more info or pics? This looks like it could be a real classic climb and TR.

Long... It's about 25 miles. Skied for around 15 of it until I ran out of snow and hiked the rest.

Thanks for the bindings btw

Yeah no problem, glad you are using them. At least part of the way...

Pretty awesome! I always enjoy reading your TRs, johnkelley.

Am curious about what boot and binding setup you are using? Are you climbing and skiing in the same boots?

I used a pair of Nepal Evos for both and a pair of Megas for the harder rock pitches. Silveretta 500's for bindings on Rossignal BC 125's. The scaled skis are nice. No skins
