Trip Report
South Face of Mt. Emerson
Tuesday July 10, 2012 5:13pm
A fun and quick hike up Mt. Emerson via the South Face for my 35th birthday. Mostly 3rd/4th class with a couple 5th class moves right at the start and a classic Sierra ridge to finish. Quick approach, easy downclimb via southwest gully, balancey summit block, 4.5 hours car to car.
Beautiful climb!!

Quick video showing a ridge section with a good downclimb move above some exciting exposure and onward to the summit block. Hope you enjoy!
