I know a guy, John Wiley, my professor in law school, who occasionally posts here I believe. He had a newspaper article in his office of getting rescued by an RAF helicopter after getting swept off a ledge at Gogarth. An air bubble got trapped under the chest of his anorak, which was enough to keep him from sinking into the Irish Sea until the helicopter crew could do its job. Gnarly stuff that.

First off, glad everything turned out OK.
Secondly: helmets, helmets, helmets!
Thirdly, that was a really entertaining story. I feel kind of guilty saying that as people could easily have died. But there are great lessons to be learned and you enumerated them well.
