New trad route on Gozo/Malta
Thursday March 8, 2012 3:26pm
A new route Trad route of 140meters was opened today by Stevie Haston and Simon Alden, not super hard but very loose and friable, check out the photos. They will be more route opening the next two months, and a huge cave with some hard routes possibly...Malta is a smal island south of Sicilia.

Thanks for the post! Loved the two weeks I got to spend in Malta climbing. Though most of the time I spent deep water soloing. Such a cool, laid back place.

Nice Laurence! Stevie is certainly a master of all rock climbing disciplines and all types of rock. You're not so bad yourself.

Stevie has opened about 120 new routes in Malta/Gozo from 5+ to 8B+, quality is amazing, so the Island of Gozo is a very good destination now, and he is there for an other month to open some more routes, here a few photos. I just spent a week there, and it was fabulous, great routes, gorgeous rock and view!!!! Form easy slab to hard ones, and some steep to super overhanging!!!!
I will do a post the few days with more photos....
