The familiar skyline and tiny raindrops welcome me back to Seattle. At one point Seattle was home, the place I grew up and learned to climb. Coming back to the pacific northwest is always refreshing, both in greenery and in a soul soothing way.

Alix on Astro-Logger

My visits are always too short and this time we were just passing through on the way to Squamish. Lizzy was set to run 50 miles the following weekend and I hoped to squeeze in as much climbing as possible. Add on a generous helping of swimming, a huge crew of friends from California and all over and we were going to have a good time.

Psyched to be climbing Freeway!

I climbed a bunch of routes but New Life, The Calling and Freeway stood out. I also had a ton of fun Cragging on the Chief and at Murrin. As well we took advantage of the quick drying Papoose to squeeze in route after rainy days.
