le_bruce - i thought that pitch was one of the best on the route! easy chimney to the window, and then perfect fingers to an amazing rock over move!

Nice pics of the Half Shell, Greg. It brought back some fine memories. The stoke really comes through in your pictures.

Yeah man, it looks incredibly good in that pic. Twice I've meant to do it and twice missed it. I'd never seen a pic of that Window pitch, but have heard many times how great it is.
My partner tried to take that variation this summer, but (hazy here, I couldn't see him from the belay) somehow picked the wrong window to try to push through, and got stuck! Hahaha, oh man did I laugh long and hard with all the sounds he was making trying to get free.
Finally he punched through and started to climb up, but the rope pinched and hosed him. He ended up having to climb back down and fight his way through the wrong squeeze window again. We may both have been close to tears, though for very different reasons.
He took the .11/French free corner instead, and generally cruised the route. Just that little bit, haha.

I don't place pieces for unexpected parties of 3. If you clip my stuff, expect us to unclip it immediately.
And if you get all dick-like then I'll fix the middle if your rope to give us the chance to get out if your important way.
That is all.

You chose to climb behind a slower party who got there first. Either get their permission or stay the h*ll out of their way as you pass them. When someone passes me or vice-versa I also expect them to be safe and not do run-outs that could allow them to fall on my party or have their rope cross us as they fall.
