I thought Malibu was pure choss. Now, though, I'm wondering:
If everybody mini-trundled all the choss, would the rock be better over the long term?

Quite possibly the weakest "Trip Report" ever. This has no substance at all.
Malibu Creek has some fun routes but you'd never know that looking at that photo. A toproped butt shot? I know you can do better.

Gripping!
If this is the climb I'm thinking it is the approach is fun, you have to traverse along a rock wall about 4 feet above the swimming hole with some big steps to make. Of course you have all your gear so a dunk would be a bummer.

I really enjoy the mornings and late afternoons at Malibu Creek, but the Rock Pool has turned into the S. Cal teen hangout, courtesy of Facebook, complete with the noise, profanity, and litter that comes with that popularity and lack of monitoring by the park administration. Unfortunately, many climbers have accepted this situation and often don't pick up after themselves either. Many thanks to those that participate in the cleanups.
