Quickie....
20 hours car-to-car.... Woke up in the portal around 3:30am started hiking in around 4:30am Tuesday. Reached the summit around 6/7pm.... went down the wrong descent gully and luckily able to traverse to the correct one with some easy 5th class down climbing. Reached the upper lake just as night fell and relaxed for about 45min filtering water. Scrambled through boulders, annoying bushes, soggy ground and finally reached a trail with wet approach shoes. Hiked 6 miles back to the car where we arrived at 12:30am Wednesday. Brought ice axes but didn't need. Starving nothing open in Lone Pine so ate a Frozen Burrito at gas station, drove 4 hours back to LA arriving a little after 5am. Showered, laid down for a few then woke up at 8am for work. I was haggard for a few days after.... ugghhh but fun I guess :-)

It was super hot up on the ridge.... We would have ran out of water if it were not for some random snow patches we came across.

My boss Uri on the first pitch of the headwall
Not sure if this should have made it easier or harder to call in sick the next day.
