Nice Steve! Was this last weekend? There seems like less snow than I figured there should be, they say that the road to Coethedral still is covered and it's only 3500' elevation on the top.

Doesn't look like much snow there! I thought the Cascades got a lot
this winter? Oh, and don't talk to me about Lib Crack and storms.
I still wake up at night screaming. You wouldn't believe how that
route turns into a giant funnel.
It started out so pleasantly...and I'm glad to see the little pine is still thriving after __ years.

actually it was from last Fall. I just got around to posting it as I noticed that Chris Mac didn't have any TR's for Liberty Crack. We got into a little storm at the summit, which made it exciting. Thank goodness no lighting, as I was nervous as a sheep in Idaho.

Steve!
Yesterday 6/12/11 on Hwy 2, we skinned right from the car at 3400' Smithbrook Creek TH to ski Union Peak and Jobe Peak. Really fun day and still tons of snow!
Today you would have had to approach Liberty Bell on SKIS - much more polite than the dirty scree scramble.

Great climb, stellar position. Classic.
Note: If you solo this route, travel light: hauling through the upper pitches with a pig is a bitch, due to the snaggy groove.
