Hooky Wednesday: Cardinal Pinnacle Sneak.
Wednesday September 10, 2014 10:00pm
We have been bad workers...we take days off mid-week for climbing!

This week we didn't get fired for climbing Cardinal Pinnacle West Face!

Give us a break, would ya - it's a 20-minute drive and a 30-minute hike from our house to this:

Skip on the choss-hopping 30 minute slog:

The objective - is there a gorilla in the rock or is it just me?

Are we there yet? How about now? Meh.

Holy crap! We're gassed and we haven't even started climbing!

Start of the second pitch is so fun:

The start of Pitch 3 is an amazing series of discoveries on a seemingly blank wall of glacial polish - Pipe!

I'm totally out of shape and just moved from sea level, so this potentially could have gotten ugly. E still managed to drag my sorry carcass up all 4 pitches and and the talus slope without me passing out from lack of oxygen.

Love your lives now you aren't Angelenos?

You represent the Eastside with pride, you two.

Love the "gassed" tourist shot.

Is there an official elevation you reached, or summit register, or what?

I'm so glad you two ain't "sporties!"

It's like have a car driven air conditioner....just point her up the hill and watch the temperature plummet.
