Actually, I'm looking for someone who has been to the Calaveras Domes recently who can give me info on snow conditions. I have contacted the Office in Pioneer regarding the campgrounds below the reservoir; she assured me that the campgrounds are open (you need a fire permit to have a fire or camp stove). She seemed to think that snow should be patchy around the area. I compared the elevations around the area to those of the climbing between Sugar Loaf and Lover's Leap and find that the area should be navigable except where shade might dominate.

We may be going to the Domes this weekend to check conditions.
