Awesome trip report man!!! Stoked to see Kyle getting out and getting amongst it in the West! We've met years ago, I used to climb with your brother over 10 years ago in Thunder Bay, I learned a lot from Kyle back than. It's nice to see you climbing again, Kyle mentioned that you had taken a few years off due to a sh#t load of studies? I was following your trip via "the crack book ". So cool to see it here.

I have been climbing in the Rockies since 1977. The glacial changes from 6 years ago were mentioned in the TR.
I have seen HUGE changes from the 70's. Faces that were snow until early August, then turning to ice, are now totally melted out by early July. Glaciers disappearing, lots of new choss exposed when ice on faces melts. Truly frightening. The best times for alpine climbing now are late fall through spring.
Anybody who doubts climate change has never observed glacial/icy/snowy areas over decades.
If you guys want to do a lot of ice head to Canmore in winter. Actually a stiff drink while sitting in an outdoor hot tub is the best way to finish a day on the ice.

Jake! I absolutely remember you. I hope you are still crushing it. I did stop climbing for about 5 years, and started again a couple of year ago. Stoke is super high again. I'll tell Kyle you said hi!

AP, it really is scary. I was shocked by the changes I saw in such a short time. I can't image how it must look after 30 years of change.

The Rockies are incredible if you go to the right areas. The wrong areas can be a bit of a horror show.
