"Grand Sentinel is as wild a quartzite spire as you will ever see."

"Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL area. Rained last time we were there, bailed off Sir Donald, ticked Grassi Ridge on Wiwaxy after a crack of noon start (due to morning verglas) and never even started for Mt. Louis. Grand Sentinel still high on the list, weather, fires, and griz moms have so far prevented a serious attempt."

I wish more here would adopt the 'short and sweet' philosophy.
In yer case the sweetness might justify 'not so short'.

But that choss! Get's me all hot and bothered!

Wonderful TR , too many long winded introspective dissertations on climbing to the top of a pile of rocks ... yours was perfect !

I ran out of time and patience, Justin. Sooner or later, though.

Thanks for the great comments, folks. I should pay more attention to TRs.

Yes, Bruce, that is Guides' Rock. We were following in Peders' footsteps on Sea of Dreams.

Robert had made many trips to ski and climb ice but no summer visits. It was funny to see his disbelief at the pitiful weep at The Back of the Lake which he claims is an ice climb.

Words used in the guide for the Lake Louise area:

impeccable, beautiful, compelling, iconic, stellar, superb, spectacular, premier, finest, magnificent, extraordinarily beautiful

on pages 245 and 246

seems to have brought out the lyrical in the pipefitter

Yes!

Yes yes yes yes yes. Rad. Makes me wanna go stroll thru alpine meadows, fend off killer momma bears and rap off sketchy shale summits. Thanks for a killer little Monday morning TR. Please do it more often.
