here are some beta tidbits
the dowel ladders are sane -- you will clip some dowels, but there is good gear sprinkled in between.
there is a 1/4" bolt with an SMC hanger that is broken on the pitch above the black tower. If someone brings a new SMC hanger and hardware to replace the existing hanger that would be great.
the pitch leading up to to the high brow bivy is a junk show -- i laughed my way up ..

I posted some beta just after an ascent several years ago on Tuan's Yosemite web page. In fact, most of that beta was incorporated into the supertopo (with some errors). A great historic route, but if you don't have a decent amount of wall experience, get them somewhere else before hoping on this route. I only say that because I've heard of folks hoping on this as their first El Cap route.

FUN!!! Whats up with the beley on the last pitch??
You get three bolts with oval rings on each bolt,
they used to be round! Thank God the bags are light.
Fun! FUN! FUN!! climb safe.

*What is "Route Beta"?
It's climber slang for information or tips on a route as in, "what's
the beta on that route?" As a service to fellow climbers we ask SuperTopo
guidebook users to post tips and updates to this website if they have relevant
information to share after a climb.
