FA: Ron Olevsky and Mike Strassman, 8/83. FFA: Peter Croft and Doug Heinrich 2000.One of Zion’s classic roof crack routes. This route has been referred to as a good starter or training aid climb. Most parties opt to free climb instead. Climb a right-facing corner to the large and obvious roof with a hand crack in it. Continue up thin cracks to the top of the buttress. This route doesn’t reach the summit of The Organ. Rack: 2 ea to 4”, extra 2.5-3.5”, extra .4-1”, nuts, 2 ropes. Descent: scramble west down ledges. No rappels should be required.
