FA: Brody Greer and Jared Greer, spring 2005, two days. The Greer brothers picked a great adventure on this unnamed peak. This is a proud and prominent peak that needed a name, and since the Greers made the first known ascent from the canyon side, it has been known locally as Mt. Greer or G1. The Reach Around starts in a low-angle hand crack on the left side of a right-facing corner, straight down from what appears from the road, to the summit. Pitch 1 stops on a big ledge with a few large pines on it and follows the most obvious crack system straight up the steep wall above Pitch 1. Two thirds of the way up the route follows the forested gully on the left side of the peak and eventually wraps around on the east face before reaching the summit. See photo. Descent: reverse route Rack: 2 ea to 4”, 1 ea 4.5-5.5”, nuts, slings, 2 60m ropes. Climber Beta on The Reach Around
