Overview
With plenty of incredibly steep yet technically moderate climbing, Mideast Crisis is great training for your first Grade VI. Most of the climbing follows hand- and fist-sized cracks, interspersed with the occasional loose or thin crack section. The awesome bivy ledge in the middle of the route breaks up long stretches of wildly steep climbing. Mideast Crisis is a little harder than The Prow but easier than Zodiac.
