Overview
This was the first rap-bolted climb in Yosemite. While later rap-bolted routes would create a bolt chopping war among locals, Wheat Thin escaped controversy because the bolts were placed on rappel in order to preserve the fragile flake. The crux involves off-balanced moves to reach the lieback. From the top of this climb it is easy to set up a toprope on Butterballs. The moves getting left to the anchor are tricky, relying on a hidden undercling low on the left.
