Overview
South-by-Southwest is one of the newest climbs covered by Supertopo. From the instant Walt Shipley and Keith Reynolds climbed it in 1993, it has been recognized as a classic. It is beautiful, extremely exposed and perfectly protected with one of the most amazing summits in the country. The absence of awkward or poorly protected climbing makes it an excellent climb for those wanting to break into the grade (some consider it a soft 11a).
