Rising above thundering Nevada Fall, the Southwest Face has a good collection of moderately difficult quality cracks. While the hardest pitches are C2, this is not a great first wall because of a few tricky clean aid placements, many natural anchors, and bad hauling. Except for Pitch 5 (the overhanging bolt ladder) the route would probably go free at 5.12. This is overall a little easier than the Regular Route of Half Dome.
