Overview
This route features one of the more memorable moderate chimneys in Yosemite that doesn't actually need much chimney technique. The first pitch requires bold 5.8 climbing which keeps the crowds away and makes the route overall more difficult than The Caverns, Commitment, or Hanging Teeth. The first move is the crux?a committing lieback move with bad fall potential into a tree. The pitch rarely lets up and is difficult to protect and pull through on gear making it only suitable for confident 5.9 leaders.
