Overview
West Country is a fun route at a low grade, easily accessible, with the amazing views shared by all the routes on Stately Pleasure Dome. It does have tenuous climbing in a shallow dihedral, and somewhat runout friction climbing. Lots of people have done this route many times, yet avoided the original and much better first pitch in favor of a somewhat weird start involving a big traverse back and forth, due to advice in a prior guidebook.
