Nestled in the heart of the Stuart Range and towering above the beautiful Colchuck Lake awaits the steep western wall of Colchuck Balanced Rock (8,200’). Here splitting directly up the face is an alpine climb of impeccable quality, with pitch after pitch of excellent and varied climbing – steep dihedrals, big roofs, powerful cruxes, and of course the requisite chimney to round off one of the best difficult and sustained alpine routes in the Cascades.
