Overview

Leavenworth is home to some of the Northwest’s finest granite cragging, boasting easy access to a wide variety of climbing types. Although Snow Creek Wall requires a bit more approach than most of the crags, it is the centerpiece of the area and holds some of the finest multi-pitch routes in the state. Outerspace is the most popular and arguably the most aesthetic climb on the wall. The technical crux comes low on the route as a steep and exposed traverse. But up higher, directly up the main shield of Snow Creek Wall, comes an out-of-this-world splitter handcrack that extends for 300 feet, with a plethora of cool chicken heads on each side that make the climbing simply outstanding.
