Jerry Dodrill has been documenting his adventures with a camera since the early 1980's. When he began rock climbing near his home in Central Texas in the late '80's, the camera became a standard piece of his equipment. A trip to Yosemite in 1990 opened his eyes and changed his life forever. Within a year his family had moved to the Golden State and a life-long commitment to adventure was formed.

By recording his exploits and sharing images through slide-shows, lectures, exhibitions, writing, and publication Jerry has shared his vigilance for life with thousands of others. His passion for climbing and exploration has offered ample opportunities for exotic landscape and adventure images. A well-rounded base of experience in all disciplines of climbing have attributed to his photographic success on the biggest walls in Yosemite and many tall peaks around the world. His excursions have led to Argentina, Bolivia, China, France, Greece, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Micronesia, Switzerland, and throughout North America.

Jerry studied photography and fine art at Pacific Union College (1993-1997) and received several rewards for outstanding achievement. His well-respected work has been exhibited in many prominent venues including the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite Valley. His images and writing have appeared in The North Face catalog, Outside, Elevation, Rock & Ice, Fitness Runner, Vanity Fair, and others. He lives in Sebastopol, CA and teaches photography classes at Pacific Union College while continuing his stock, assignment, and fine art photography business.
