I just got this note from Steve Francis:
Hi Chris,
I did two quality problems on the "Punisher" boulder at the top of Echo. One was a bolted route that finished high on chicken heads on the north side of the boulder, the other was on the south side on the face. Both quite good. I also came close to topping out the crack on the really really big side but pussed out and downclimbed... then I broke a critical hold near the bottom...sucky.
Cheers
Steve

The directions in the guidebook http://www.supertopo.com/packs/tahoeboulder.html are now wrong. The house with the blue roof that is referenced in the description just go a new roof. Its no longer blue and is just like all the others.
Anyone else got a landmark we can reference in the next edition?

im pretty sure its the 1st or second cabin on the north side of the lake - they are both close to the trailhead up the steep hill so either way it wont be too far off. this info is also wrong in nor cal bouldering.
