the trail is getting used again and is not as overgrown as the last few years. this is the best place to do hard lowball problems without a spotter or even a pad! one small pad is nice but barely needed with the flat dirt landings under the main face. proud sloper roof/slab with a variety of other problems and grades on the other boulders surrounding the main rock. ocean views, short hike and a sandy beach across hwy 1 with surfing and even more bouldering near the russian river mouth.

good fun!

<<ACCESS ALERT!! AS OF SUMMER 2012 THERE COULD BE ACCESS ISSUES AT THESE BOULDERS SO MAKE ALTERNATIVE BACK UP PLANS IF HEADING HERE - Luckily, The River Mouth Boulders are directly across The Pacific Coast Highway (CA1) and The Sunset Boulders in Goat Rock State Park, Fort Ross Boulders and Salt Point State Park are all not too far away.>>

I recently heard from two different local climbers that there is a sign that says Private Property on the short trail leading from the highway to the boulders. The boulders are between the highway (CA1) and a fence on the uphill side of the highway and the downhill side of the fence. They are about 50yds from the highway in thick bushes so it never seemed like much of an issue. I'm also fairly certain that the land behind the fence was just purchased by the Sonoma Land Trust and is now called the Jenner Headlands so I'm not sure whose property it is and if the signs are for real or even still there.
