Overview

There is a wild and exciting vibe at Chipmunk Flat. High cliffs surround the boulders while clear creeks cascade downhill and the fresh breeze rustles the leaves of the aspen trees. Marines from the mountain warfare training center on the east side of the pass often stop by to train on the cliffs above the boulders that have a few good sport and traditional climbs. Intermediate to expert level boulderers will have their hands full with a variety of challenging problems on solid roadside rocks.
