Lake Tahoe Bouldering, California, USA
Approach time: 1 - 15 minutes
Season: April-November Number of problems: 55 Type of rock: Granite Overview
Known mainly as the best moderate multi-pitch climbing in California, Lover’s Leap also has a small concentration of exceptional boulder problems. The high quality granite is extremely textured and offers a wide variety of hand holds. Most problems are in the V1-V5 range and offer everything from steep crimps and slopers to long traverses and short cracks. There are enough problems for a full day of bouldering. If it’s scorching out, the river offers some great swimming holes. Or, for cooler temps, drive 15 minutes to The Secrets. Or just blow the whole day off, slackline the campground and knock back a few cold ones. Notable Bouldering Problems
The Cubist V10, Paul's Problem V3, Monks Traverse V4, Boo Boos Traverse V6/V8 Photos
